All along my own health journey I have found that of course it can be a very lonely road. When you have to change the way you eat, or parts of your lifestyle so that you can feel better. From my own experience, getting together with like-minded people who were either enthusiastic about these new things or were also making these changes in their lives was exhilarating! It makes it so much more fun! I was able to just take a breath and relax, and know I wasn't alone. I participated in themed raw food dinners and playdates and classes and I hosted juicing parties on my own. Engaging with like minded people completely took away the loneliness, allowed for pain to be healed through the compassion of others, validated my creativity and what I was discovering. I learned so much and was able to ask questions, give answers, giving and sharing in knowledge and understanding. I was able to comfort and be comforted. I laughed and cried with these people and when I was alone and crying, I didn't feel as lonely, knowing my friends were out there and I could reach out anytime.
Think of going on a farmer's market tour with a friend or perfect strangers who become friends. Imagine spending time with others as you experiment with different kinds of new foods together, or participate in a grocery store tour.
Not only with food, but finding fun ways to exercise together, be out in nature, explore your creativity, visit farms, or take part in a fun community health challenge or event, or find the best spas and ways to relax and rejuvenate, sharing inspiring music and getting together to celebrate successes.
